Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day February 12, 2010

Contact Michael Kelly, Mobilization Coordinator, Washington Low Income Housig Alliance, 206-442-9455 × 203, Michael@wliha.org

Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day is a great opportunity to meet with your elected officials, network with fellow advocates, and attend workshops to become a more effective constituent. Together we can change the conversation in Olympia and support that access to affordable housing is preserved.

We will educate our lawmakers to protect resources such as Operations and Maintenance funding for Housing Trust Fund developments and GAU and encourage them to rebuild our safety net by passing revenue as part of a balanced budget.

WSCH 2010 30/60 Day Notice Endorsement Campaign

California and Oregon recently passed legislation to increase notice for no-cause evictions. Part of their success came from the long list of endorsing organizations they were able to present to legislators. Please ask your agency and partner agencies to endorse this important legislation!
