Conference Highlights
HEARTH Academy
Presented by the National Alliance to End Homelessness Center for Capacity Building
Sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The HEARTH Implementation Clinic final product of this session will be a plan that each community can use to help them improve their system performance and meet HEARTH targets. Each community also gets ninety days of follow-up assistance to help them as they move forward with implementing their plans.
People attending the HEARTH Academy should include: Continuum of Care leaders, HMIS administrators, Ten Year Plan coordinators, ESG/HPRP administrators, influential providers and funders, and local consultants who have been involved in the Continuum of Care, as well as other decision-makers or leaders in the community. The NAEH advises that each community bring 7-10 people. Generally speaking, people that manage funding, have a leadership role in the Continuum of Care, and/or people involved in strategic planning efforts should be there.
Attendees of the Academy spend 1.5 days of the Conference attending the HEARTH presentation and select from conference schedule sessions for the remainder of the Conference.
Contact Nick Mondau, nick.mondau@commerce.wa.gov or (360) 725-3028, for details about the Academy preparation work in progress now, and for details about who in your area should attend this session.
