WSCH Homeless Childrens Lawsuit 1991-1999
At the annual conference, Michael Mirra, Executive Director of the Tacoma Housing Authority and former attorney with Columbia Legal Services talked about the Homeless Childrens Lawsuit. This lawsuit resulted in a court decision requiring DSHS to provide a plan to provide for homeless children and families, especially when homelessness is the primary cause for placing these children in foster care.
